Remember this: good things never truly disappear.

After quite some time, I’m releasing a new album.
The title track is “Fade Away.” As you may know, when I first heard the song, I immediately thought, This is a song I want to sing. This is a song I want to write.

While working on the lyrics, I imagined an old film reel playing—like watching a black-and-white movie through time. As the final scene slowly fades away, I pictured someone realizing, Ah, our love will disappear like this too…
A person who wants things to stay, who wishes nothing would vanish, yet knows that eventually it must. And yet, just before the fade-out—the lingering colors right before the end—there’s a beauty that feels even more vivid precisely because we know it will disappear.

This album is titled [Unloved Echo]. It represents the lingering afterimage of a love that has ended—an echo that remains in the heart even after everything is over.

Across the six tracks on this album, you’ll encounter different forms of love. I don’t know how each song will stay with you. It’s always like that—just as not everyone loves the same song the most, each person carries away a different feeling from the same melody.

I wonder: In what form will these songs of mine remain in your heart this time?

Ironically, although the title track speaks about things fading away, the greatest force that allows me to create an album like this is something that never fades—the feelings you send me.
Worrying about my sleep, my meals, wondering if I’m burdening myself too much on stage, telling me it’s okay. Always saying it’s okay—unconditionally. Telling me to brush it off and stand up again.

Do you know?
You give me strength thousands, tens of thousands of times more than you realize. That strength allows me to sing again, write lyrics, exercise, and continue living my everyday life.

These feelings won’t fade away. No—they will not disappear.
I remember a line from a movie once: Good things never truly disappear.

As I write this, it’s deep in the cold of winter. I hope the six songs I carefully selected will make your winter just a little warmer. As I always say—and truly mean—it would be enough if my songs could make your world even slightly kinder, gentler, and warmer. That’s the reason I sing. And that’s the best way I know how to return the strength you give me.
